| The 2010 Season
runs March 2 through July 10 |
| 2010 Swim Meet Schedule |
The Tidalwaves Swim Team, one of ten in the summer
recreational Marin Swim League, provides great fun and fitness through a season
that runs from early March through the middle of July. Tidalwaves is sponsored
by the Larkspur Recreation Department, and is a non-profit club, open to all swimmers
ages 5 through 18 years.
Tidalwaves offers afternoon/early evening workouts Monday
through Friday throughout the season at Redwood High School. Swimmers are placed in practice groups according to swimming ability; they must
demonstrate basic proficiency in the freestyle stroke, and be able to
comfortably swim 25 yards.*
Participation requires parent volunteer support for
organization and running the meets. All practices are run by professional
coaches. Spirit events throughout the season and a focus on individual
improvement help make Tidalwaves a positive social and athletic experience for
all swimmers. The Awards Banquet at the end of the season is a celebration for
all who participated in our swim season – a highlight for all the swimmers!
During the season new information is posted almost
daily, so please check this website often, or sign up for our Twitter feed to receive text updates to your mobile device.
*For swimmers that are not quite
ready to swim in a 25 yd. pool, Coach Marie has a great Tadpole program
that is very popular and effective for teaching beginning swimmers. Contact Coach Marie for more information.
