Tidalwaves Swim Team

The TIDALWAVES Swim Team in Larkspur is looking for an Assistant Coach for the 2010 summer season. Tidalwaves is one of ten recreational teams in the Marin Swim League, a summer league offering quality amateur competitive swimming events for kids in Marin County.

Tidalwaves is a family-oriented summer recreation team committed to providing a positive, fun, and high-quality experience for swimmers age 6 to18 years. Head Coach Marie McSweeney, recognized as the 2005 Marin Swim League Coach of the year, has developed and maintained an outstanding program over the past 29 years. This is an opportunity to work with one of the best age-group coaches in the Bay Area.

The Assistant Swim Coach should have competitive swimming experience, and/or coaching experience at the age-group level. Essential qualifications include: enthusiasm, patience, maturity, emphasis on teaching proper stroke technique, focusing on positive attitudes, good sportsmanship, and fun.

Tidalwaves home for the 2010 season will be a new 16-lane 25-yard swimming facility at Redwood High School in Larkspur.

Tidalwaves season:
Practices on weekday afternoons/evenings starting Feb 22
Dual meets on Saturday mornings starting May 1
Marin Swim League Championships on July 10.
